Greetings from a soon to be snowy Easton! Just in time for the weekend, the season's first snowfall will help to get us into the spirit of winter! The following events, which we are a part of, will also get you into feeling the excitement of the coming holidays:
Tomorrow, December 9th, join us at Queset House, 51 Main Street, at the annual Artisan's Faire! Sponsored by the Shovel Town Cultural District, this fun event features a variety of artists and artisans in a beautifully decorated historic setting. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. When you enter, the Society table will be in the first room on your right. Sunday, December 10th is our monthly open house. We will be open from Noon - 5 p.m. Some people paint pictures with words; some, with brushstrokes. You can enjoy fine examples of both during this open house!
Two Easton-related writers and a painter will be making presentations about their works beginning at 1 p.m. at the Easton Historical Society. Alyson Sousa Larrabee will be focusing on her 2017 prize-winning Kindle Scout International Publishing Competition book Hidden in the Dark. Linda Manning Williams will share with the audience her new children's book Fifty Stories and Poems for Children. Eveline Sawabini Johnson, artist of the scenes on Easton's Puzzles, will have a number of her recent paintings available. Enjoy refreshments including mulled cider and coffee while viewing theaccomplishments of these talented artists.
Wishing you all the best,
