Greetings all! As fall colors dominate the landscape, and cool air nips at our noses, here are three great fall events to take advantage of!
First, response to our 50th Gala Celebration has been terrific! I have attached for you the invite and ticket sheet. There is still time to be a part of this great event: receiving the Old Colony Railroad Station fifty years ago! Join us on Sunday, November 10, at the Easton Country Club to help us celebrate this special occasion with special speakers, great food, fun and fellowship with our members and friends.
Also attached is information on two fundraising events.
First is the third annual Boos and Brews event at the Ames Free Library which will be held TONIGHT, October 26, from 7-10 p.m. at the Library. Tickets are available at the Circulation Desk or at www.amesfreelibrary.org. See the attached poster for more details. Have some fun, and wear your best costume (perhaps Mary Lamprey might be a special guest?).
Second, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will be celebrating 160 years of organ music on their 1859 Hook organ. On Sunday, November 3, at 3 p.m. the concert will be held with five accomplished organists playing selections. Following the concert, there will be a special program for children. Child care will be provided. The event is free, and any donations received will be used to help[ preserve Rattlesnake Hill which is adjacent to Borderland State Park and is one of the highest elevations in eastern Massachusetts. See the poster attached for more information!
Don't forget your copy of Reminiscences: Volume 10, filled with great historical features and original poetry too!
Until next week, take time and enjoy the colors, smells, and feel of fall in New England,
