Hello all! I hope you enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving. Our attention now turns to the annual Easton Lions Club Holiday Festival that takes place this weekend! This Easton tradition includes entertainment, special events, and culminates in the lighting of the Rockery.
The Society will be open on Saturday, December 3rd from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. As in past years, we will host the Easton Garden Club Greens Sale that day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Be sure to stop in and see their special creations for your home. While you are here, don't forget to pick up your Historic Easton Puzzle. The puzzles are selling briskly and have been a huge hit! Check out our other selection of historic items - all great for gifting! On Sunday, December 4th, we will be open from 1-5 p.m. Join us for friendly conversation and refreshments. At 2:30, Allison Such, an intern from Massasoit Community College, will present a project she has been working on. Allison, a student in the college's Museum Studies program, will exhibit several miniature dresses based on historic Easton figures. She has a broad knowledge of fashions and materials. Allison has been helping here since last spring, and this is her final project with us. We wish her all the best as she continues her education. Looking ahead at the following weekend, we will have a table at the annual Artisan Faire at "Queset House" on December 10th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sunday the 11th, we will have our regular open house from 1-5 p.m. Special guests that day are authors Linda Manning Williams and Judith Manchester (Bougas) who will talk about their writing and be available to sell and autograph their books. As always, the coffee will be on so be sure to stop in! For more information on the Holiday Festival, visit:
