Greetings from Easton! It is a beautiful fall day here, but our thoughts are with those who are affected by the historical storm in Texas. Hurricane Harvey inflicted damage to an extent never seen, exceeding that caused in New Orleans more than a decade ago. Many businesses have "disaster plans" and I think this will cause many museums to think along those same lines of protection. A very difficult lesson to learn.
Great news! Reminiscences: Volume 8 is now available at the Museum! Hot off the presses, Hazel Varella and Dan Pare have put together another terrific selection of articles featuring new research, original poetry, and recent events as well as items from our archives. Of special note is a story written by Judy King about her late parents Robert and Sally King, whose extraordinary gift to the Society and Museum enables us to do so much in our community. Copies are still $10 each.
Wishing you a great week,
