Hello to all my historical friends! The first weekend in December really gets the holiday festivities off to a roaring start here in Easton!
On this Saturday and Sunday, the Easton Lions Club will hold their 31st annual Holiday Festival! Full of fun, food, fellowship, music and other attractions, the festival is a great way to officially kick-off December. This Saturday, the Museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The talented members of the Easton Garden Club will hold their winter Greens Sale at the Museum from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. You can fill your needs for holiday cheer by getting your wreath, arrangement, swag, or perhaps you might win a raffle! The Society has the Easton Puzzle, Reminiscences, books on Unionville, the Hockomock Swamp, Remarkable Journey (the Ames origins in England and their coming to America) and many other interesting items. I just received a shipment of cannons! Pewter cannons, which are Revolutionary War type, and similar to those that were produced in Easton by the Perry family for the Continental Army. On Sunday, we will be open from 1-5 p.m. with the World War II letter books available. Join us for some fun, food, and hot coffee! Frank
