Hello all of you hot weather lovers! This summer has been one of the hottest in recent years, and I think I heard it has been one of the top five hottest summers recorded! There have been plenty of beach days so far, and probably a few more to come before we welcome cool nights and the arrival of September.
We are working on a calendar of ideas for the fall season here at the Museum. Right now we are developing plans with the Easton Grange to sponsor a concert of World War I era music. Details will be forthcoming as the event shapes up. Many of you have expressed an interest in the late Mary Bodio's artwork, and we are happy to announce that we are working with her family to have prints available at our September open house. A more formal announcement will be made in the newsletter and through social media once all of the details are worked out. And finally, please join me in wishing a very happy 100th birthday to a great lady, Hilda Silva! Hilda is a member and an Easton native. She was featured in the Enterprise this week and you can find the story here: http://www.enterprisenews.com/news/20180815/luck-be-lady----brockton-woman-celebrates-100th-birthday-in-style
Stay well, and cool!
