Greetings! The fall season is kicking off with two very special events.
First, at our open house on September 9th, you will have an opportunity to purchase prints of Easton by the late Mary Bodio. The Bodio family is making the prints available for sale. Mary's work includes watercolor collages of Easton schools, Easton landmarks and buildings, Frothingham Park, Stonehill College, and note cards featuring the Richardson buildings. The Bodio family will donate a portion of proceeds of the sale to the Society, My Brother's Keeper, and a charity in St. Croix where Mary spent time each year. We are very grateful to the Bodio family for making this possible, and for their generosity. Be sure to take advantage of this opportunity to purchase these hard to find and much sought after prints! The second event is a concert by the Canton American Legion Community Band titled "The Centennial of the 1918 World War One Armistice - Reflections Through Music." Sponsored jointly by the Society and Easton Grange #196. The concert twill be held at Oakes Ames Memorial Hall, first floor, Thursday evening, September 20th at 7 p.m. The first floor is handicapped accessible. Historian Pat Leehey will present information on the composers and the significance of each piece. A flyer for the program is attached. This event is free and open to the public, and we hope you will join us for a great evening! Have a wonderful week, Frank
