Hello friends! We are getting ready for a special open house this Sunday from 1-5 p.m. The program will feature the 1968 Oliver Ames High School football team who won the Hockomock League, the last OA football team to do so. Jonathan Coe, Bill Rose, Steven Adams and company have set up a nice exhibit and will give a talk at 2 p.m. A number of players and others will be here to talk about the team, the games, and the coaches. Coach Bill Nixon will also be joining us. We will be showing a film of two games from that season played at Frothingham Park, done by Steven Adams and narrated by Rick Simonson, formerly of WBZ. Be sure to come in and catch up with some of our own hometown football heroes! Light refreshments will be available, and as always, there is no admission charge for this event. Whatever you are doing this weekend, be sure to be here for this!
Our thoughts also go to our members and friends who have been affected by the recent hurricanes, and we wish them the very best as they recover from the storms. All the best, Frank
