Hello! Hope you enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving! Did you survive the midnight runs of Black Friday shopping? Getting ready for Cyber Monday? Don't forget Small Business Saturday! Some of the neatest gift items and ideas can be found at the small businesses in your town and neighborhood. With all of the advertising blitz from mainstream stores and web sites, remember to take a look around town while you shop. Small businesses support the communities they are in, so by supporting them, you also help your community. Museums make a great place to shop as well, and I hope you'll remember your local historical museum.
Printed copies of the winter newsletters have been mailed and you should receive yours soon. Inside is a wonderful and informative article by Ed Hands on the 1918 Spanish Flu Epidemic and how it affected Easton. You'll also find out what we are doing during the holiday season, including the annual visit from the Easton Garden Club during the Lions Club Holiday Festival on December 1, and how you can see our tree at the Easton Charitable Trust Festival of Trees now underway at the Easton Country Club. I hope many of you will drop in and say hello this December!
Until next week,
