Weekly Update

Greetings! Spring, it isn't! After a thorough soaking yesterday, I woke this morning to lots of cold wind and an inch or so of snow. All those flowers that recently pushed up from beneath the previously frozen earth will need a winter coat for a few days!

This week we are taking the "show" on the road in a few different ways. First of all, Chronicle fans will know that a few months back the show featured the Ames Free Library in an episode of "Warm and Cozy Places." If you missed it, that episode will be re-broadcast on Monday night. Chronicle can be found on WCVB TV, Boston. And if you check out the Chronicle website you can see a feature about restoring a painting in the former Frederick Lothrop Ames mansion in Boston. Go to https://www.wcvb.com/article/the-art-of-fighting-against-time/26887520 to watch that episode. Very interesting!

The second half of our "road show" will be a talk I will give for the Lakeville Historical Society on Wednesday night, 7 p.m. at the Lakeville Senior Center. I am looking forward to sharing some of our great history with another group of history lovers.

Many thanks to all who have so quickly returned their dues! An thank you to all who made donations! Your generosity enables us to continue in the work you entrust us to do. We are updating our contact list with your information (sometimes there are new phone numbers or email addresses). We have also added a few names to our weekly email list. A hearty welcome to our new subscribers!

Patiently awaiting warm weather,
