Hello all, and greetings from a very photogenic Easton! Many people choose our beautiful town to do photo shoots for graduation photos, portfolios, wedding photos, or any number of photo ops. It is not unusual for people to show up at the Museum and begin doing a shoot! I always find it interesting to see where they are from and what they are up to. And of course, I ask them to remember us when they become famous!
Our own historic beauty has been caught by the eye and lens of our own talented photographer Jonathan Jackson Coe. This Sunday, from 1-5 p.m. at the Museum, we will host a book signing for the book Jon and Robert "Buddy" Wooster have completed, A Beautiful Image of Historic Easton. We have had a good response so far, and some have called or emailed to order a copy of this truly beautiful book. Jon and Buddy will be signing them on Sunday, and at 2 p.m. they will talk about the entire project. Please be sure to join us! Thanks to the generosity of North Easton Savings Bank, with thanks to Bob Berg, and printer Bill Clay of Walker Clay, and with the authors wishing to promote the historic preservation of Easton and receive no benefit from the sale of the book for themselves, all proceeds from the book will benefit the Easton Historical Society and Museum. We are very grateful to all who worked hard to bring this project to fruition.
I hope to see you Sunday! For those who have ordered books to be sent, I will begin mailing them out next week.
I also want to congratulate the graduating class of Stonehill College! We wish all of our grads best wishes as they take their next steps towards their future.
Have an historic week!
