Greetings from a very sunny and beautiful summer day in Easton! I have three things for you today regarding current events at the Museum.
First off all, our August Open House will be held tomorrow, August 11, from 1-5 p.m. I have been working with Donna O'Leary, who is enrolled at Massasoit Community College, to curate this month's exhibit. She has picked out some interesting items. What was playing at the Towne Theatre? Who is "Fairholme Footprint"? Who was appointed a Justice of the Peace, and what was a condition of his appointment? What would have been on your lunchbox when you went to school? And so much more. Come by and join us for a nice summer afternoon!
Second, we have a change in the summer tour schedule. This week's tour on the 13th will meet at the South Easton Cemetery. We will do the Swedeville tour on the following week to close our summer tour series.
Thirdly, we have copies of the very popular new book "A Beautiful Image of Historic Easton" available. Pick up your copy Sunday!
Enjoy the week!
