Greetings! Eighty years ago today the classic movie The Wizard of Oz had its premiere in the little city of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin! The location was chosen to test the movies' reception in the American heartland. The city commemorates the anniversary each year with an outdoor screening and celebration.
Our own yellow brick road tour takes us to the South Easton Cemetery, 473 Washington Street, across from Stonehill College. Please meet a the cemetery at 9:30 a.m. Hopefully we will be the only event taking place there, so watch for us as you pull in. Ed Hands will lead us in a tour of a cemetery that has undergone a wonderful restoration, and is one of the most beautiful in Easton. Hope to see you there!
